About the design
Let’s take it back to Mexico City during the 1920s. A vibrant culture on the cusp of a visual art movement consisting of bright colors, geometric shapes, and curvilinear forms known as Art Deco. Lavished with architecture, art, and greenery, La Condesa and Roma, inspired Deco an interpretation of two neighborhoods that today remains a modern version of the past.
Both patterns were inspired by a trip I took to Mexico city with my sister and best friend. Not knowing what to expect, we walked through the different neighborhoods and we were blown away by the architecture and charm of its streets. We took photos of the houses and buildings and was inspired by the shapes of rails, doors, windows and came up with condesa and roma norte.
